CM Dashboard - Gujarat
Given the vast scope of government administration—encompassing Health and Medical services, Education & other social services, Agriculture & food security, Industries & Infrastructure, Law & Order, Water & Sanitation, Transportation, Forest & Environment, Urban & Rural Development across 33 Districts, 248 Talukas, and over 18,000 villages—monitoring government activities is an immense challenge.
Earlier, monitoring was fragmented, relying on manually captured data or partially automated systems that were prone to outdated or erroneous information due to delays and high human intervention. Such erroneous data could have serious, long-lasting consequences. Poor data quality affects multiple facets of government operations. A flawed analysis and interpretation of data could misalign government strategy.
Hence, it became essential to establish a robust, advanced central monitoring system with a citizen-centric approach that would be regularly reviewed by the state's top authority and directly linked to the decision support system for policy-making. It would also implement necessary corrective measures as required from time to time.
The CM Dashboard has been a ground-breaking ICT initiative for government administration, enabling real-time online monitoring of various government schemes and services by integrating data from 20 sectors, 26 departments, 187 e-Governance applications and 750+ data sources that unifies all stakeholders on a single platform, from the top level to the village level.
